I'm procrastinating on studying - go figure.
At any rate, I survived the Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's trifecta of weight loss horror with my waistline mostly intact. (In other words, I'm still off the wagon but at least running behind it trying to catch up. I do believe it's just around the bend!)
And now for my last semester of school. Wait - what?! I'm going to graduate? WHAT? When did this happen? I'm still in shock that this has snuck up on me so quickly. Come May, I will no longer be considered a student, a role that has defined my entire being for roughly my entire life - at least since I was four.
However, that provides excellent fodder for new motivation! (cue the dramatic music and flashing lights) Not only is the graduation ceremony (gulp) in May, but there is also this nebulous thing called the "TheraBall." As in Occupational Therapy Ball... silly, I know, but I just might get dragged into going.
And, oh yeah, my best friend is getting married in May.

| Don't worry - my dress actually looks all right. This is just funny. |
(that's about the best description I can give for how I feel. MY BEST FRIEND WHOM I'VE KNOWN SINCE SIXTH GRADE IS GETTING MARRIED. AND I'M THE (CO)MAID OF HONOR!!!!)
Please excuse me while I hyperventilate.
And then to add to things, my roommate and I had a sort of dinner party last night, complete with daquiris, three courses, and board games.
When the heck did we become adults? I should go do something hideously immature to rebel against this idea. I know! I'll get my coloring books and Disney movies out! Hooray for regression to the 90s!
So there you have it. New year, back on track, and plenty of motivation to fit into my bridesmaid's dress at the end of the semester. Now if I only can avoid the cake...
